How's blogging in 2021 gonna go?

How's this gonna go?
Who rightly knows? I haven't blogged in so long. As I was thinking of my 2022 Word of the Year last night while journaling, I came up with FLOURISH. Maybe it's the book I'm reading that is centered around this theme. Maybe it fits. Maybe it doesn't. Time will tell.
There are a lot of things I want to flourish in. Namely my marriage, motherhood, leadership, and MY GARDEN! This year I also want to write more in my journal and perhaps this blog. My goal is to blog 1-4 times a month. We'll see what happens. I share a lot over on Instagram (@johnsonhomenc) because it is much easier to work from my phone than blogging-- I've gotta do that on on my computer for the keyboard luxury. I want to try to condense my IG ramblings into a few blog posts here each month. I don't "own" my content over in the metaverse as their agreement so kindly states so maybe by keeping it an another, not Facebook owned, place it'll be slightly more secure. Google isn't much better but here we are...
Do you make new year resolutions? Good on you if you do! I cannot keep one! I quit making them years ago. Like before I was a mother. About a decade. They sound fun and all but I found I'd break my resolution by the end of January then beat myself up about it. Now I make goals. I do this monthly in my business but now I set them yearly in my life. There's generally a lifestyle goal, a book reading goal, a financial goal, some work goals, and a few other randos for fun. I've found that it does NOTHING for me just to tell myself I'm going to work towards XYZ goals. I've got to write them down. See them often. Those little black words on white paper become my accountability buddies throughout the year. Maybe it's the enneagram 3- achiever- in me but I don't like letting myself down and I adore a check off list.

About that picture up there...
Self-proclaimed Garden Gangster but could only find it with the "a" from a small business called Tailors Square out of New York. Find them on IG with the same name. Last year taught me to FIGURE IT OUT when it comes to providing food for my family. Who knows what this world is going to become before Jesus returns?! My family has strong opinions about what is currently being pushed right now. Too much uncertainty and the hypocrisy is astounding. Hear me when I say this: YOU DO YOU AND WHAT'S BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY. And I'll do the same for mine. Will there come a day when I'll no longer be able to grocery shop for my family? Only God knows that. In the meantime, I'm going to try my hardest to take what I can back to the basics. More on that soon. One day at a time, one task/project at a time. 2021 was centered around my enclosed garden I'm excited to share with you soon enough. 2022 is the year of the greenhouse. I've been wanting my own since I was a girl fawning over my Nanny's Hot House. That's my kinda she-shed. We started constructing the walls over the New Year holiday break and so far we are two walls down! I'm hoping we can be done with it in time to start my summer seedlings. After the greenhouse is completed, we'll contemplate strongly chickens. Meat chicken AND laying hens. Let. Us. Pray. HAHAHAHA!
